”The experience I gained in Cyber PR® has been awesome. Before this class, I had no idea about social media in the real world as a marketing tool. Now I have gained experience working as a social media consultant for a talented professional musician. Using what I have learned, I was able to increase his online activity and fan interaction by over 80 percent in just a couple of months!”

EXTRA

Cyber PR® Certification Exam

One of the most exciting parts of creating The Cyber PR® courses at MTSU was being able to offer a tangible asset that the students could take away from their experiences learning from us. Charlie Dahan and I are both “TopSpin Certified” and we thought that TopSpin’s idea of creating a certification process is cutting edge for a fractured music business, where there really are no marketing standards. It is very useful for artists, managers or labels looking for agencies who understand how to execute using TopSpin’s toolsuite. Therefore agencies who could tout that they were “TopSpin Certified” added cache to their offerings. The Cyber PR® Certification Exam is intended to do the same thing: Create a standard that potential employers can understand and give the student marketing practitioner a real leg up and a fabulous asset to add to their resumes. A Cyber PR® Certification says: I understand the new rules of marketing, PR, social media and Two-Way engagement and their importance when promoting artists. It was our wish that the students would opt to take this certification – and
many of them have. Our TopSpin students have gone on to land full time jobs in the business and many of them say it was the Cyber PR® Class and the real world experience that helped to get them to understand the “Full Picture” using tools they used every day in the “real world” and with real artists not just hypothetical case studies. Both Charlie and I are thrilled that the result yielded full time jobs. If you are interested in administering the Cyber PR® Certification Exam please contact me directly. I would be thrilled and honored to arrange it.
Rock On!!

‘Cyber PR® is vital for students who are looking to complete in our current world of digital marketing. The class helped me personally to begin viewing social platforms as a resourse for connecting artists directly to their fans. As a member of The Collective – Nashville’s management team, I work with digital media every single day and I can definitely attribute the beggining of my education in that field to the Cyber PR® Method.”
Rachel Cunningham, former MTSU student and officially Cyber PR certified
